The #SafeCitizenAccelerator is a programme focused on technology products that improve citizen safety and is run in partnership with UP Ventures at the The Landing in Salford.

Buildings can be made safer if relevant, and publicly available, information can be made easily accessible. For example, as an occupier, being able to see if a residential or commercial building is legally compliant within its jurisdiction simply by logging into its Wi-Fi. This could include knowing if the electrical or gas certifications are up to date, when the fire escapes, smoke detectors and sprinklers were last checked, whether the external cladding is non-combustible. All of which is useful information which would provide the occupier with peace of mind.

At , we believe in promoting transparency between occupiers, homeowners and property developers. This means allowing for this type of data to be publicly available, initially in a format that can be manually or physically requested but eventually integrated into technology platforms for ease-of-use. Shedyt aims to provide a single, consolidated platform where this type of data – and any other relevant information – can be easily collected from numerous sources, uploaded for safekeeping, managed and shared as appropriate.
