Property occupier pain points

Haven’t we all, at some point, had problems dealing with the old ‘washing machine breakdown’ scenario? Or perhaps something similar in our homes that also warrant repairs or replacement.

One renter we talked with had this issue:

“When I was renting in Istanbul, the washing machine in our apartment broke down and we were forced to repair it. To make issues worse, the landlord asked us to pay for it since he doesn’t live with us which came as quite a shock to me. Shortly after that, it broke down again and this time we had to buy a new one because it was beyond repair.”

How do you avoid such a hassle? How can you tell if certain items in a house require maintenance, repair or need to be replaced altogether?

This is one of many examples highlighting the shortcomings of current property management methods and standards; they can be costly, time-consuming, labour intensive and chaotic.

Shedyt is about managing and interfacing property data that does not get leaked, lost, misplaced, forgotten or discarded. It is about championing tenants, homeowners and property developers so that problems like this can be attended to in a better way.

Don’t you think it’s time that property management got an upgrade? Perhaps a digital alternative? If you have any suggestions, questions and/or feedback, feel free to contact us.
