Are all Tenancy Agreements the same?

Tenants should always ask to read and understand the Tenancy Agreement well in advance of signing it and moving in.

Asking a Tenant to sign an agreement drafted by the Landlord, which they have not seen previously, whilst there is a van of furniture outside the property is not ideal or a reasonable situation for a debate about contract clauses.

It is therefore in the interests of both parties that the agreement is available for review at least 2 or 3 days prior to the commencement of the agreement which will allow the Tenant to thoroughly read the terms and obtain any advice, without being pressured by time or a waiting van.
